Dentsu Live Wins Bronze in the Media Creative Category at the 59th ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS

“NIKKEI BLEND,” a project that involved Dentsu Live for its production, was recognized with Bronze award in the Media Creative category at the 59th ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS*.

NIKKEI BLEND is a coffee that changes flavor in sync with the Nikkei Stock Average.

Dentsu Live was involved in the implementation and production of a custom-made coffee stand set up in the first floor entry space of COREDO Nihonbashi, a shopping mall in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, from March 25–29 (Mon-Fri), 2019.
During the event, real-time Nikkei Stock Average data was captured and displayed at the point-of-sale, and a specially designed coffee machine blended five varieties of coffee beans with varying flavors and grinding styles based on a unique algorithm in sync with the Nikkei Stock Average. As the Nikkei Stock Average rose above the previous day’s closing price, the machine would automatically brew coffee with a more bitter and powerful flavor, and conversely, it would brew more acidic and weaker-flavored coffee as the Nikkei Stock Average fell below the previous day’s closing price.
