Dentsu Live Wins Silver at the 59th ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS in the Branded Communication Category

NTT docomo’s “FUTURE-EXPERIMENT VOL.04 – Spatial Synchronization” and “FUTURE-EXPERIMENT VOL.04 – Arena Denshin,” events that involved Dentsu Live for their production, were recognized with a Silver award in Category a of Branded Communication at the 59th ACC TOKYO CREATIVITY AWARDS*.

“NTT DOCOMO FUTURE-EXPERIMENT” is a project by NTT docomo to pursue the challenge of entertainment integrated with unprecedented realism and new experiences in the 2020s by leveraging NTT Group’s cutting-edge communication technology.

 

“FUTURE-EXPERIMENT VOL.04 – Spatial Synchronization” is an experiment to transmit the “environment” of a live concert from Yokohama to Shibuya via a high-speed, low-latency network connecting Yokohama Arena, the live concert venue, and a special venue set up near the Shibuya scramble crossing. In addition to the powerful live video and audio, the lighting effects in the venue and the LED devices that audience members wear on their hands were synchronized at both locations, creating a sense of unity as if they were in the same venue.

“FUTURE-EXPERIMENT VOL.04 – Arena Denshin” is an experiment to use a smartphone app to interact with fans at the venue in real time. Instead of the traditional call-and-response format, responses from the roughly 12,000 audience members were tallied in real time and displayed on stage screen, including their individual seat locations, as a way to increase the sense of unity between the artists and fans.
